Welcome to the Student Pre-Assessment (SPA) Maintenance Tool.

What is SPA?

SPA provides a database of admissions and advanced standing data which is available to prospective students via the Course Admissions Adviser (CAA) and the Credit Adviser (CA) web-based tools.

What is the SPA Maintenance Tool?

The Maintenance Tool comprises a number of modules that allow Monash staff to create and maintain the admissions and advanced standing data to ensure it is continually accurate and current. Some of the data stored in the SPA database are:

Admissions data, including Monash course prerequisites and course maps and previous study information such as unit equivalences, comparative entry scores (GPA’s).
Advanced standing data, including all course credit decisions as well as all unit to unit equivalence decisions.

How do I get access to SPA?

The tool is accessible to all Monash staff via their regular Authcate user name, at inquiry level only. Selected staff members are provided with a higher access level that allows them to create and modify admissions and advanced standing data. If required, you can request higher access on-line once you have logged into the system.
